From trauma births life
My life veered off into a more outrageous direction when my parents died a year apart from each other in my mid-20s. I realized not everyone makes it to retirement age and quickly started planning my escape from tethered office life to nomad. Within a few years, I had a (pre-COVID) remote reporting job, was traveling solo around the US in a campervan, and had amassed 500 skydives on my own equipment from 2016-2021.
When I became pregnant in somewhat traumatic fashion I moved to Costa Rica to restart my life as a single mom. I slowly started to shed the wild recklessness and reactivity that defined my early 30s. I became softer and more intuitive.
I began writing poetry like a spellcasting witch
i reignited my creative fire
Now, it is my honor and duty to mentor other wildly intelligent, creative and ambitious women, like you, into courageousness through play. Welcoming in our forgotten inner child so life becomes lighter, easier and more attuned.
WHO I AM
Your Creative Risk Mentor
I spent the first 15 years of my career as a Wall Street and technology reporter working for companies including MarketWatch, MT Newswires, FOX Business, and SportTechie (now a part of the Sports Business Journal). I always loved reporting because it gave me a way to write professionally and made me a perpetual student and storyteller.
After I lost both of my parents within a year of each other in my mid-20s, I set off on a path of my own creation. It became my mission to live a good story that I could one day write about it and inspire others.
I traveled solo around the US in a campervan, earned my skydiving license and racked up 500 jumps, traveled solo to Thailand, moved solo to Costa Rica, and started writing poetry.
Through all of that I still clung to a corporate job like a spider to its web in the rain. Once I finally allowed myself to detach from the security of a 9-5, and realized that I could write professionally for myself and not a corporation, everything changed. I trust-fell into the Great Unknown.
Now, I’m working on my first poetry collection and mentoring ambitious women to take bold action in their lives so that they too can find their purpose and strut towards their dreams with confidence.
I took one small step then another, then some more. I made one manageable move then set a new goal to accomplish. I kept on that path ‘til one day I looked back and realized I was hanging off helicopter rungs and would need a damn jumbo jet to get back to where I started

My Core Beliefs
Creativity is creation
Creativity isn’t just a hobby for lucky people. Creativity is the core of all creation. Creativity is invention. It’s life itself. Creative action increases neuroplasticity that enables the brain to form new neural pathways while stimulating connection between your right and left hemispheres. This intermingling of your sensory, emotional, and intuitive mind with your logical mind is where true leadership and innovation derive.
Women are courageous
Little girls are often taught to play it safe, that the risk-taking is for the boys and young men. I believe all women are brave and that all of us can do hard things out of our comfort zones. We birth humans, we bleed painfully once a month, we hold immense emotional polarity in our minds and are talented at multi-tasking. We are tougher than they give us credit for. We just need to remember who the fuck we are.
Risk-Taking and Play are Congruant
As children we explore our worlds through play and pushing boundaries. And then at some point we learn consequences and societal norms. We can spark our creative and courageous fire when we’re playing in ways that honor our inner child.
Patriarchal Capitalism is broken
I believe in capitalism as a mechanism that allows people to create their own paths and career paths. But I think corporations have gotten too powerful and governments too controlled by the rich, which leaves the workers — the real gears of this system - overworked, exhausted, and unfulfilled. Capitalism can work more efficiently for all (and the planet) if we begin to switch to a more heart-centered approach to business that values talent, creativity, freedom and rest.
Poetry is healing
Poetry is a subconscious soul language that allows deeper wishes and feelings to stream through to awareness, making it a conduit for healing and manifestation. Metaphorical poetry forces us to become more granular when identifying our emotions, which helps us to process and work through them
Not Everyone Lives to Retirement Age
When I lost both my parents before they reached retirement age, I realized that the whole work to retire system we’re fed is utter bullshit. You just never know when you’ll stop living so you might as well start taking chances, being creative, doing things that scare you, seeing the world, loving who you want and playing. I don’t say this because I’m urging you to quit your job. I never push any of my clients to live life my way. I only wish for you to remember that courage is a practice. Risk is a ritual. When we foster these things from a creative and heart-centered space, we can do really spectacular things for ourselves, the people we love, the species and the planet.
