From trauma births life
My life veered off into a more outrageous direction when my parents died a year apart from each other in my mid-20s. I realized not everyone makes it to retirement age and quickly started planning my escape from tethered office life to nomad. Within a few years, I had a (pre-COVID) remote reporting job, was traveling solo around the US in a campervan, and had amassed 500 skydives on my own equipment from 2016-2021.
When I became pregnant in somewhat traumatic fashion I moved to Costa Rica to restart my life as a single mom. I slowly started to shed the wild recklessness and reactivity that defined my early 30s. I became softer and more intuitive.
I began writing poetry like i WAS spellcasting
i reignited my creative fire
Now, it is my honor and duty to mentor other wildly intelligent, creative and ambitious women, like you, into courageousness through play. Welcoming in our forgotten inner child so life becomes lighter, easier and more attuned. Aligning with our dream self by strumming the mastery of our own unique creative intelligence.
WHO I AM
Your Creative Risk Mentor
I always loved reporting because it gave me a way to write professionally, learn perpetually, and share fascinating stories.
But it took a long time for me to deconstruct the professional dryness I inherited.
I was getting paid big bucks to write high-trafficked online feature stories about crazy cool technologies, and then craving for creativity on off hours, feeling like I was cheating myself out of the creative love affair I’ve had with writing since I was a little girl.
For a paycheck. For the illusion that I was writing for a living and therefore had made it.
I met a Burning Man campmate before my first Burn at a bar in NYC. He told me: be sure to set your intention. I thought about it, not sure I would’ve set an intention otherwise, and said: “I want to be more creative.”
I went to that Burn with a focused intent on doing just that. I carried around a small journal and started writing down everything that inspired me. I realized the notes were naturally forming as poetry and I decided that I’d finish the poem at the Burn and mail it as a booklet as a gift to all my friends.
That Burn was a key portal in my life. It was held two weeks before I was to set off in a campervan and travel around the US solo with my dog. That next year in the van I wrote a bunch of poems and started posting them.
Still, I clung to a corporate job like a spider to its web in the rain. Once I finally allowed myself to detach from the security of a 9-5, and realized I could center my life around creativity and write my own agenda, everything changed.
I trust-fell into the Mystery.
Now, I own and run a mystic shop under an old-growth tree in Costa Rica with another single mom. I have plunged into the worlds of meditation, inner child healing, kundalini yoga, and signed the manifesto for creative living. I launched a poetry pharmacy at my shop and write live typewriter poetry for customers. I am no longer writing professionally for a corporation and feeling my soul knocking at the door of my existence. I’m now writing professionally for myself, for beautiful people upon beautiful ideas, and my soul is
at the wheel of a Convertable Free-flowing in the Wind
I took one small step then another, then some more. I made one manageable move then set a new goal to accomplish. I kept on that path ‘til one day I looked back and realized I was hanging off helicopter rungs and needed a jumbo jet to get back to where I started

My Core Beliefs
Creativity is creation
Creativity isn’t just a hobby for lucky people. Creativity is the core of all creation. Creativity is invention. It’s life itself.
Introspective creativity boosts neuroplasticity so that we can form new neural pathways while stimulating connection between our right and left hemispheres, conscious vs. subconscious.
This intermingling of your sensory, emotional, and intuitive mind with your logical mind is where authenticity, wholeness, self-assurance & innovation thrive.
Women are courageous
Little girls are often taught to play it safe, that the risk-taking is for the boys and young men. I believe all women are brave and that all of us can do hard things out of our comfort zones. We birth humans, we bleed painfully once a month, we hold immense emotional polarity in our minds and are talented at multi-tasking. We are tougher than they give us credit for. We just need to remember who the fuck we are.
Risk-Taking and Play are Congruant
As children we explore our worlds through play and pushing boundaries. And then at some point we learn consequences and societal norms. We can spark our creative and courageous fire when we’re playing in ways that honor our inner child.
Patriarchal Capitalism is broken
I believe in capitalism as a mechanism that allows people to create unique lives and career paths. But I think corporations have gotten too powerful and governments too controlled by the rich, which leaves the workers — the real gears of this system - overworked, exhausted, and unfulfilled. Capitalism can work more efficiently for all (and the planet) if we begin to switch to a more heart-centered approach to business that values talent, passion, intuition, creativity, freedom and rest.
Poetry is healing
Poetry is a subconscious soul language that allows deeper wishes and feelings to stream into awareness. It is a conduit for healing and a portal to manifestation. Metaphorical poetry helps us to personify feelings, giving us the gift of granularity when identifying our emotions so that we can deeply process and work through them.
Not Everyone Lives to Retirement Age
When I lost both my parents before they reached retirement age, I realized that the whole work to retire system we’re fed is utter bullshit. You just never know when you’ll stop living so you might as well start taking chances, being creative, doing things that scare you, seeing the world and playing.
Just remember: Courage is a practice. Risk is a ritual. Healing is intentional. Action is contagious.
When we follow our own heart-centered compass, we can do really spectacular things for ourselves, the people we love, the species, and the planet.
